Bio

On air - Making Waves

Tolliver’s talk shows started tongues wagging in January 2000 with her debut on SCORE Radio: Counselors to America's Small Business. Impressed, WVOX offered Tolliver her own shows. She subsequently launched Your Business Matters; T3: Trends, Tips & Tools for Everyday Living and the Lisa Tolliver Show to popular acclaim, amassed a global following and began receiving invitations to participate in select programs for outstanding journalists and media gatekeepers, lecture internationally, serve as an emcee and conference panelist, and make "celebrity" appearances.

Off-air - Movin' and Shakin'

Off-air, Tolliver (AB Harvard, MBA+post-grad Columbia) helps organizations, groups and individuals overcome challenges and achieve strategic and performance goals. Her roles include: Principal at 360 MERIDIAN™, educator, success coach and board member with several prominent organizations. Tolliver's accomplishments in those, and in former assignments as a management consultant and corporate manager with multinational firms, include launching and managing award-winning ventures and teams (online and off), advising executives, entrepreneurs and artists, and recommending profitable, effective solutions to complex problems.

Her publications include two telecom industry guidebooks and numerous articles, regulatory filings, applied research studies, strategic plans, educational materials and creative works. She has also exhibited ethnographic fieldwork and documentary photography in initiatives sponsored by the Library of Congress American Folklife Center and Brigham Young University/Utah Heritage Project.

Several recent honorable distinctions include kudos from the Surgeon General of the United States and the Westchester Emergency Volunteer Reserves-Medical Reserve Corps for commendably publicizing Emergency Preparedness & Safety Tips on the Lisa Tolliver Show and online; appointment in 2006 as a Poetry Ambassador; a 2005 Emmis Communications (98.7 KISS FM) Phenomenal Woman Award; selection for multiple Ford Foundation and Columbia Journalism School programs for media gatekeepers and outstanding journalists; honorable recognition SCORE: Counselors to America's Small Business as a SCORE Success Story and SCORE Counselor, and honorable distinctions as an entrepreneur and management consultant by Business Owners Idea Cafe, the MTA-PriceWaterhouseCoopers PREP program for government contracting, the U.S. Small Business Administration, Marquis Who's Who in America and IAWMD Who's Who on the Web.

Ms. Tolliver has also been honored as an outstanding educator. She is published in Marquis Who'sWho in American Education and Who's Who Among America's Teachers, was selected for a Coleman Award for Educators in Entrepreneurship by the United States Association for Small Business and Enterprise, and received awards from Turner Construction and the National Association of Minority Contractors.
